Google is now selling refurbished Pixel phones

Do you remember when Pixel phones used to be more affordable than iPhones or Samsung Galaxies, without having to wait for a new variant to get a good deal? Those were the days.

If you’re a Pixel fan who loves a good deal, you might want to check out the new refurbished section on the official Google Store. They are offering significant discounts on phones with full one-year warranties.

Currently, the store is offering discounts on various Pixel models in the US only (as reported by Android Central). Here’s a quick look at the phones and their prices:

• Pixel 6, 128GB — $339
• Pixel 6, 256GB — $389
• Pixel 6 Pro — $539
• Pixel 7, 128GB — $429
• Pixel 7, 256GB — $479
• Pixel 7 Pro, 128GB — $629
• Pixel 7 Pro, 256GB — $679
• Pixel 7 Pro, 512GB — $779

Keep in mind that availability of different capacities and colors may vary as Google’s supply of refurbished phones changes. While newer Pixel 8 and 9 series phones are not currently available, they may be added in the future as Google clears out inventory.

If you’re looking for a Pixel Watch, you won’t find them in the refurbished section of the Google Store. Pixel Watches are difficult to repair, so only open-box items are available for this program. Refurbished sales outside of the US may happen in the future, but it could take some time.

While getting full Google support is great, it’s worth noting that you may find better deals on these phones elsewhere. For example, a brand-new Pixel 7 Pro 128GB is available for just $405 on Amazon. If you’re open to a “renewed” phone, you can get a Pixel 6a for only $184, although it won’t come with a warranty. The peace of mind from a warranty may be worth the extra cost at the Google Store.
