Zenless Zone Zero immediately undoes change that stopped you from seeing girls butts
Developer miHoYo has released Zenless Zone Zero update 1.4 though a change in the update has already been walked back after it upset fans of the game.
The new update apparently implemented a filter that totally faded out character models when you panned the camera from “specific angles,” specifically when you try to pan at an angle to see their butts or up their skirts.
Fans immediately noticed this and were immediately upset by the new change. Niche Gamer reached out to miHoYo for a comment but their team works fast and they’ve already put out a hotfix to undo that change.
“Fixes an issue in Version 1.4 where the fading effect of the ‘Agent appears faded when viewed from specific angles’ adjustment did not display correctly under certain circumstances,” the developer said.
However, eagle-eyed and strong forearm-having gamers noticed the hotfix does let you stare at girls’ butts once again, though you still cannot go to even more extreme angles.
It remains to be seen if this new change was made to avoid the camera clipping into character models at extreme angles (like other games) or if it was out of concern for visibility. Perhaps if fans continue to be upset they’ll remove the fading effect entirely.
Zenless Zone Zero is available now on Windows PC (via direct download and the Epic Games Store), PS5, iOS (via the App Store), and Android (via Google Play). Get our review for the game!
