Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom - Ancestor's Cave of Rest guide

Away from the swirling sands of the Gerudo Desert, Zelda enters the solemn Ancestor’s Cave of Rest, prepared to mend the rifts threatening to disrupt the world.

However, in Echoes of Wisdom, the Ancestor’s Cave of Rest holds more secrets than initially apparent. To fully navigate the cave, you must utilize all the magical tools you’ve gathered and explore every corner – quite literally.

Upon entering the Ancestor’s Cave of Rest, the Gerudo guard will point out the divide in the burial chamber and request you to reignite the flames encircling the sarcophagus on the opposite side.

To proceed, press X to cast Tri into the large boulder in the bottom left corner of the room and move it away from the door.

In the following room, you’ll engage in a game of whack-a-mole, defeating the Holmills as they emerge from the sand.

Carmadillos or Sea Urchins can be effective, but you may have your preferred combat Echoes by now. Regardless, the Holmill is crucial as it enables you to tunnel through soft surfaces.

Afterward, shift the large boulder at the top of the room to unveil a ladder, then descend.

In the next area, apply a Holmill Echo on the sand’s surface, allowing it to create a hole for you to drop through to the lower level.

Ensure you descend on the left side initially to claim the concealed chest (containing Golden Eggs) before proceeding to the right side of the screen.

In the bottom right corner, you’ll encounter an Ignizol, which can be utilized later to light torches if you haven’t acquired its Echo yet. Subsequently, ascend the ladder and use a fire Echo like the Ignizol to ignite the braziers flanking the sarcophagus.

You’ll then be transported back to the entrance, where the guard expresses gratitude for your assistance, although closing the rift seems impossible from this location. Consequently, venture back into the desert to seek your next destination.
