YC alum Fluently’s AI-powered English coach attracts $2M seed round
Learning English can be challenging, especially for near-native speakers looking to enhance their fluency. This challenge inspired Stan Beliaev and Yurii Rebryk to create Fluently, an AI-powered coach that provides feedback and tips on spoken English.
Similar to ELSA and other coaching solutions, Fluently stands out by analyzing real-life calls to offer personalized feedback. Users can record and transcribe their conversations or practice with AI coaches like “Ryan” for casual chats or “Kyle” for mock interviews.
With a target market of 84 million non-native English-speaking employees, Fluently secured funding and support from investors to further develop its platform. The emphasis on technology in education tech sets Fluently apart, with a team of engineers driving innovation.
Fluently aims to improve speaking skills comprehensively, focusing on pronunciation, grammar, pace, and vocabulary. The platform’s personalized approach and commitment to user privacy make it a promising tool for individuals looking to enhance their English fluency.

While still in beta, Fluently shows great potential in helping users overcome language barriers. The platform’s focus on personalized learning and user progress tracking sets it on a path to becoming a valuable tool for English language learners.
By addressing specific language difficulties and prioritizing user privacy, Fluently aims to provide a seamless learning experience for individuals striving to achieve fluency in English. With plans to expand to other platforms and enhance its features, Fluently is poised for growth and success in the language learning market.
