Xiaomi Users Are Finally Getting Their Much-anticipated Update

We recently covered Xiaomi’s latest update that brings Android 15 to its users. However, the rollout initially included the older software version, HyperOS 1.1, instead of the much-anticipated HyperOS 2, which was only available in the Chinese market at that time.

The good news is that Xiaomi has now started rolling out HyperOS 2 to the global version of the Xiaomi 14 series (via GSMArena). The update package, sized at 6.3GB and identified by version number OS2.0.4.0.VNCMIXM, should now be accessible to all international users of the standard flagship model.

As reported by STechGuide, Xiaomi 14 users outside of China began receiving the stable Android 15 update a month ago. This update included various fixes and improvements, such as enhanced layout handling on the Home screen, a smoother Recents menu, and adjustments to the Always-on Display on the Lock screen.

Now, users can experience the full features of HyperOS 2, which introduces three major innovations: HyperCore, HyperConnect, and HyperAI. These innovations aim to provide faster performance, smarter functionality, and seamless integration within Xiaomi’s ecosystem. The practical implications of these innovations are yet to be fully realized.

The update is now available for the Xiaomi 14, and a November rollout is also planned for the Xiaomi Mix Fold 4, Xiaomi 14T series, and Xiaomi Pad 6S Pro 12.4.

Throughout this month, the update will expand to devices like the Xiaomi 13 series, Xiaomi Mix Fold 3, Xiaomi 13T series, and other models, with more devices scheduled for updates in the first half of 2025.
