Xiaomi has created quite a buzz with the launch of the first two models in the Redmi Note 14 series.
The Redmi Note 14 Pro and Note 14 Pro+ include significant upgrades to design, durability, and performance compared to its predecessors, the Redmi Note 13 Pro and Redmi Note 13 Pro+.
However, it looks like there’ll be more models to come, with successors to the Redmi Note 13 and Note 13 5G both expected at a later date.
But what are the Pro models bringing to the table? Here’s everything you need to know about the Redmi Note 14 lineup as it currently stands.
Here’s everything you need to know about the Redmi Note 14’s release date, price, and specifications.
When will the Xiaomi Redmi Note 14 be released?
Xiaomi officially unveiled that the Redmi Note 14 Pro series in China on 26 September 2024. Interestingly, that was the same day the Xiaomi 14T series was introduced to a global audience, though this was a separate launch.
However, only two models have been announced so far: the Redmi Note 14 Pro and Note 14 Pro+. If Xiaomi matches the previous generation, we should be getting a regular Redmi Note 14 (4G-only) and Redmi Note 13 5G at some point.
Although this launch is initially for the Chinese market, a global release is expected to follow in the coming months.
GSMArena reports that a global launch is rumoured to happen in November 2024, but no source is cited. That would be earlier than usual, so a more likely scenario would be the usual January/February 2025 launch window.
As a reminder, the Redmi Note 13 series was globally released on 1 February 2024, after its initial Chinese launch on 21 September 2023.

The screen supports 12-bit colour depth, 100% DCI-P3 colour gamut, Dolby Vision, and HDR10+. Their displays also boast a peak brightness of 3,000 nits.
Performance
The Redmi Note 14 Pro is powered by the Dimensity 7300-Ultra chipset, coupled with up to 12GB of RAM and 512GB of UFS 2.2 storage.
The Pro+ model, on the other hand, uses the more powerful Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 chipset, along with up to 16GB of LPDDR5 RAM and 512GB of faster UFS 3.1 storage.

According to Xiaomi, this battery is rated to last for four years of usage without significant degradation and can operate even in extremely cold temperatures.
The standard Pro model has a 5,500mAh battery with 45W fast charging. However, neither phone offers wireless charging.
Software
The Redmi Note 14 series runs on Xiaomi’s HyperOS software, which has replaced the previous MIUI but remains very similar. It’s currently based on Android 14, though the Android 15 equivalent might be available by the time it comes to Europe.
While Xiaomi hasn’t revealed how long it will support the series for, the Redmi Note 13 series offered three years of OS upgrades and four years of security patches. It’s likely to be the same once again.
