Woman, 31, fatally struck by hit-and-run driver in NYC: NYPD

A tragic incident occurred in Lower Manhattan as a woman was fatally struck by a hit-and-run driver, according to police reports.

The unfortunate victim was crossing the roadway at FDR Drive and East Houston Street at approximately 12:15 a.m. on Saturday when a black sedan traveling northbound in the left lane struck her, as per the NYPD.

The 31-year-old woman sustained fatal injuries and was later pronounced dead at Bellevue Hospital, as confirmed by the police.
