Indie developer Lioncode Games has announced a release date for Wildkeepers Rising, their new bullet heaven-ish game set in a fantasy world.

Wildkeepers Rising is set to launch on March 31st for Windows PC (via Steam), and a new demo is available as part of Steam Next Fest.

Here’s a rundown on the previously announced game, plus a new trailer:

Tame monsters! Slay waves of enemy hordes! Explore fantasy lands! Wildkeepers Rising is a whimsical action-RPG roguelite set in a beautiful hand-drawn world that combines the power curve of bullet heaven games with the compulsive fun of a creature collector.

With some RPG story-elements in between, you’ll face hand-drawn fantasy monsters inspired by the worlds of Akira Toriyama and Jim Henson.
