Webfishing adds Straight title for $9,999 fishbucks

Webfishing is a multiplayer fishing game where players fish for cute animals and interact with others. The game has received positive reviews on Steam, currently holding a five-star rating with 15,880 reviews. The latest patch, Housecleaning Update Patch 1.09, introduces a new option to purchase a Straight title for the character at a high cost of $9,999 fish bucks.

In-game, players earn money by catching fish to buy various cosmetics, including titles that express gender identity such as Ace, Gay, Bi, and Trans titles, each priced at $75 fish bucks. The addition of the Straight title was in response to a user request on Steam, despite some disagreement within the community.

While the high price of the Straight title may be seen as a troll by the developers, it is likely to motivate players to catch more fish to unlock it. Even for those not interested in the title, the challenge of reaching such a costly reward adds a level of prestige for hardcore players.
