Want to fight Jew-hate, Dems? Reject the ICC's Bibi blood libel

If Democrats ever care to demonstrate their commitment to standing against antisemitism, they must present a plan of action to combat the International Criminal Court, which is a moral stain on the Western world.

Several weeks ago, Senate Democrats used the filibuster to block a bill that would sanction the ICC for issuing an arrest warrant for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and former Defense chief Yoav Gallant, based on unfounded allegations of war crimes related to Israel’s self-defense against Iran and its proxies.

This arrest warrant is essentially a blood libel, and any American politician truly interested in fighting Jew-hate should prioritize addressing this issue.

It is particularly disappointing that Senator Chuck Schumer, who claims to be a guardian of the Jewish state, played a role in blocking the bill.

Aside from its propaganda value, the arrest warrant has real-world consequences, forcing Netanyahu to take a circuitous route during a recent US trip to ensure his safety in case of a medical emergency.

Many European Union nations support this misuse of international law against Israel, with some countries stating they would enforce the arrest warrant if Netanyahu enters their territory.

Ironically, only Hungary has explicitly rejected the ICC, while American Democrats, with few exceptions, fail to take meaningful action against antisemitism.

By rejecting the Republican proposal to address the ICC’s legitimacy, Democrats have a moral obligation to propose their own solution to this injustice.

Otherwise, it may be seen that the antisemites have already gained control within the Democratic Party.
