Unbeatable, the rhythm game where music is illegal and you do crimes, has a sick as hell new demo

I must admit, Unbeatable has the most captivating hook of any game I’ve encountered. The premise of a world where music is outlawed, and you engage in criminal activities is truly intriguing. Being a rhythm game, it perfectly aligns with the concept. I’ve been eagerly anticipating this game for about four years since its Kickstarter campaign, and while it’s not fully ready yet, a demo has been released today.
You might be wondering, “Doesn’t Unbeatable already have a demo?” Indeed, there have been a couple before, but this one provides a more immersive experience by allowing players to delve into a vertical slice of the game. Previous demos focused mainly on the rhythm mechanics, whereas this new demo, accompanied by an impressive trailer, offers a chance to explore the game world. While rhythm gameplay is still a key element, there are additional activities to enjoy beyond just playing songs.

Within the demo, you can create impromptu songs to the beat of everyday sounds like vending machines or seagulls. You’ll also engage in activities such as creating and posting flyers to counter police recruitment ads, and yes, you’ll even face off against law enforcement because, well, music is forbidden, and you’re a rebel. There’s even a baseball minigame included! The demo is undeniably engaging and offers a taste of the full game experience.
The cherry on top is the addition of an arcade mode that focuses solely on the rhythm gameplay, giving players a nostalgic Y2K vibe that is simply irresistible. The visuals are truly impressive and add to the overall appeal of the game.
This comprehensive demo has solidified Unbeatable as a strong contender for my game of the year. If you’re still on the fence, I urge you to give it a try and experience the thrill of committing felonies to an incredible soundtrack. Don’t delay, head over to the Steam page and immerse yourself in this unique gaming experience.
