Trump says Iranian regime ‘wouldn’t have to’ end if he were president, suggests peace could be close
During an interview, former President Donald Trump suggested that he would encourage peace talks between Israel and Iran instead of advocating for the end of Iran’s regime if he were to return to the White House.
Trump mentioned that Israel may not need to eliminate the Iranian regime to prevent them from acquiring a nuclear weapon, as negotiations could be a viable option. He also emphasized the importance of being in a strong negotiating position rather than waiting for a potential threat.
When asked about the possibility of using force to prevent Iran from obtaining a nuclear weapon, Trump indicated that he would consider it if necessary, but believed that diplomatic dialogue with Iran could be effective at this time.
Trump also discussed his relationship with Chinese President Xi Jinping, suggesting that Vice President Kamala Harris may not be able to handle negotiations with Xi effectively. He expressed concern about potential conflicts with China and Taiwan under the current administration.
Regarding China’s actions towards Taiwan, Trump mentioned that Xi Jinping might be more aggressive under the current administration compared to his own presidency. He highlighted the importance of having a strong leader to handle international relations effectively.
