Trump NYC rally crowd pissed about lack of toilets
Trump Supporters at MSG Rally Forced to Find Creative Solutions for Lack of Toilets
Trump supporters gathered in Midtown Manhattan for Sunday’s rally at Madison Square Garden faced a challenging situation when they discovered there were no portable toilets available. Some speculated whether this was a deliberate move to inconvenience the MAGA crowd.
Approximately 2,000 supporters camped out overnight at MSG, with some waiting for up to 48 hours before the doors opened on Sunday morning. By 10 a.m., the crowd had swelled to over 10,000 people, stretching for blocks around the venue, all without access to a restroom.
Dorothea Ohlandt, a 59-year-old attendee from North Carolina, shared the challenges faced by the crowd. She described how they resorted to using bags and cups for relief and set up a makeshift privacy area to maintain some dignity. Ohlandt expressed frustration at the lack of basic facilities, comparing the situation to that of a third-world country.
Despite requests for access to restrooms, some attendees were denied the opportunity to leave the secure area and return to their spot in line. This forced them to find alternative solutions, leading to unsanitary conditions around the venue.
As frustrations grew, some attendees felt that the lack of portable toilets was a deliberate slight against Trump supporters by the city of New York. Despite concerns raised by the crowd, NYPD Chief of Patrol John Chell downplayed the issue, stating that life in the city isn’t easy.
While the rally attracted a diverse group of attendees, including single mothers like Kimberly Vayda and her daughter Danica, the lack of restroom facilities posed a significant challenge. Vayda shared their strategy of avoiding fluids to endure the long wait without access to toilets.
Despite the hardships faced by attendees, the event proceeded as planned, with notable guests scheduled to speak alongside Trump. The rally aimed to energize supporters and showcase Trump’s commitment to winning New York in the upcoming election.
