Troubled star of beloved '90s movie 'The Sandlot' busted after chucking dumbbell at neighbor's Jeep

You’re killing me, Smalls.

Actor Thomas Guiry, best known for his role as Scotty Smalls in the 1993 movie “The Sandlot,” found himself in trouble earlier this month. He was arrested after allegedly throwing a dumbbell at his neighbor’s Jeep windshield and brandishing a knife at his front door in a bizarre incident.

Surveillance footage from Myrtle Beach, S.C., captured Guiry, 43, shirtless, tossing a 35-pound dumbbell at his neighbor’s white Jeep, causing a large dent in the windshield before it rolled off the hood.

After the incident, Guiry nonchalantly walked back to his home as if nothing had happened.

The Jeep owner informed Guiry about the damage, to which Guiry replied he would pay for it and apologized for the incident.

Security footage from the neighbor’s doorbell camera showed Guiry approaching the front door with a knife, which led to the police being called.

When the authorities arrived, Guiry was found standing in the middle of the road inquiring about his neighbor’s wife’s safety.

Guiry admitted to causing the damage and was subsequently charged with third-degree assault and battery, as well as malicious injury to personal property. He was taken into custody on June 2 and released on $1,000 bond the following day.

The reason behind the dispute remains unclear.

This isn’t Guiry’s first brush with the law. In 2013, he was arrested for assaulting a public servant after a drunken altercation at an airport.

Despite his other film appearances, Guiry is best known for his role in “The Sandlot” as Scott Smalls. The movie follows the story of a young boy trying to fit in with a group of neighborhood kids through their love of baseball.

The film famously gave rise to the iconic line, “You’re killing me, Smalls,” which has become a popular expression for expressing frustration or exasperation.
