Tron: Catalyst gets a June release date and a new trailer
Tron: Catalyst, the upcoming game developed by Bithell Games and published by Big Fan and Disney, has officially announced its release date. This digital world thriller is set to launch on Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, and PC on June 17, 2025.
The latest trailer introduces us to Exo, the protagonist of the game, who possesses a unique ability to perceive the glitch affecting the Arq Grid. This ability allows her to manipulate time, creating time loops that give her an advantage in combat. Players can use glitches to rewind events, discover hidden areas and shortcuts, and influence the factions within the game’s narrative.
Known for their strong narrative-driven games, Bithell Games has delved into the Tron universe before with the well-received Tron: Identity visual novel. Tron: Catalyst marks a return to action-oriented gameplay, with various factions, such as the Peacekeepers and the malevolent program Conn, vying to capture Exo.
Of course, no Tron game would be complete without some thrilling Light Cycle sequences. The demo showcases Exo navigating the city of Vertical Slice on a Light Cycle.
