Trio of thieves beat woman, steal her two dogs on NYC street: police
A woman in the Bronx had her two puppies stolen by heartless thieves earlier this month, and the pets have yet to be returned to her, as per the police.
According to the NYPD, the incident occurred on Aug. 1 around 11 a.m. on Southern Boulevard near Jennings Street, where the three suspects got into an argument with the 42-year-old victim.
After the altercation, the woman went into a building and when she came out with her two pit bull puppies, the suspects followed her. They then proceeded to punch her in the face and snatch the dogs before fleeing southbound on Southern Boulevard.
Although the dog owner sustained facial injuries, she declined medical attention at the scene. The culprits are still at large, and the puppies have not been found.
Authorities have shared photos of the suspects and the stolen dogs, a brown pit bull and a black-and-white spotted pit bull, in hopes of gathering information from the public. Anyone with details about the theft or the suspects is urged to contact the NYPD Crime Stoppers hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477).
