It is recommended that users update their devices with the latest browser release to take advantage of these new features.

Tor Browser 13.5: Feature Upgrades

The latest version of Tor Browser, 13.5, is now available for desktop and Android users. This update introduces feature upgrades and new options for users.

Tor Browser has long been known for providing users with a private web browsing experience, including access to the dark web. While the browser prioritizes user privacy, navigating through its features can be challenging. However, Tor developers continue to enhance the user experience, as evidenced by the latest update.

Desktop Upgrades

  • Betterboxing: An improved version of the previous “Letterboxing” feature, Betterboxing offers users a more visually appealing experience and greater control over window settings. Users can access additional Letterboxing settings in the General Settings menu.
  • Improved Bridge settings: The latest Tor update includes enhancements to Bridge settings. Bridge Cards, initially introduced in Tor 11.5, now feature a more streamlined design and display source information. Users can also share up to three Bridge Cards simultaneously, simplifying the process compared to the previous one-by-one sharing method.
  • Enhanced onion site errors: The update also enhances the design of error messages related to onion sites.

Android Upgrades

  • Enhanced connection experience: Following the success of the Connection Assist feature in Tor’s desktop version, developers plan to introduce it to Tor for Android. In the meantime, the latest update includes other feature enhancements such as an auto-connect function and a convenient “Configure Connection” button.
  • Tor logs: Tor logs have been relocated to the “Connection Settings” menu in the latest update, making them easily accessible during Tor usage. Users can also copy all Tor logs with a simple button click.

Users are encouraged to update their devices with the latest browser releases to access all feature upgrades.
