Thronefall's tiny tower defence townbuilding has reached version 1.0

Thronefall is a delightful blend of tower defense and strategy, offering players the opportunity to build a base during the day and defend it from monstrous hordes at night. Originally launched in Early Access in August last year, it has captivated players with its stylish color palette. Now, the game has reached version 1.0.

The 1.0 update introduces three new levels, new weapons such as a battle axe and blood wand, and various quality-of-life improvements. One notable addition is the ability to preview upcoming enemy waves, allowing for better defense planning. More details can be found on the Steam platform.

Katharine was among those who were impressed by Thronefall when it first launched.

“Working out how to allocate your resources is the primary challenge in Thronefall. Despite its fixed maps and building nodes, the game manages to provide a fun and engaging experience. The unpredictable enemy attacks each night, strategically marked on the map beforehand, stimulate the tactical and puzzling aspects of the brain, making it incredibly addictive.”

Islanders, the developer’s previous game, was one of Alec’s final reviews before moving on.

It has been a successful month for modern tower defense hybrids, with Diplomacy Is Not An Option also reaching version 1.0 on October 4th. If Thronefall is your game of choice, you can now purchase it on Steam with a 25% launch discount.
