This parking spot at a B.C. ski resort is selling for $110,000 – BC
When it comes to real estate, this property doesn’t offer much to impress. Priced at $110,000, it consists of just 162 square feet, located below ground with no natural light. The color scheme is a dull grey, and it lacks essential amenities like a bedroom, bathroom, or kitchen.
However, this property is not a traditional house or apartment—it’s a single parking spot in a coveted location.
Situated in Whistler Estates, parking stall #106 is conveniently located just steps away from the base of the Blackcomb Gondola at British Columbia’s renowned ski resort.
According to Dave Brown, a Realtor with Whistler Real Estate, the high price of this parking spot reflects its convenience.
He explained, “You never have to worry about parking in Whistler. You can simply pull up, drive into the parkade, and park in your secure parking spot.”

He added, “You won’t have kids getting upset or a spouse frustrated because you’re circling around due to a full parking lot.”
While some skiers and snowboarders find the price steep, many are not surprised.
Brandon Smith, a snowboarder, commented, “It’s a capitalist world with supply and demand. Whistler is a popular spot, known for hosting the 2010 Olympic Games and the upcoming 2025 Invictus Games.”
He suggested, “Perhaps we need another ski resort in the Sea-to-Sky corridor, maybe one between Vancouver and Whistler.”
Surprisingly, with a price tag exceeding $100,000, this parking spot is not even the most expensive on record.
The title of the priciest parking space goes to a spot in the Pan Pacific Mountainside hotel in Whistler Village, which sold for around $195,000 in 2021, as per Brown.
He anticipates that this parking spot will retain its value due to increasing demand and limited public parking options, making it increasingly challenging to find a spot at the ski resort.
He emphasized, “Finding a parking spot is becoming more difficult, and for those with the means to purchase such a spot, the convenience it offers is paramount.”
