Guests have the opportunity to live out their fantasy of running a bookshop by the sea in Scotland for a week or two, as they are required to work the front desk during their stay.

During their stay, guests are provided with their own apartment and bookshop, supported by a team of volunteers to ensure a lovely experience. The low fee covers only the running costs of the holiday, as the property operates as a non-profit.

Every day until September 2026 is fully booked with visitors from around the world eager to enjoy this unique cultural experience.

Guests should note that this is not a volunteer opportunity and they will not be paid for working at the bookstore. It is classified under cultural tourism and guests are free to enjoy the bookshop as they wish.
