The final episode will be a mighty hour and a half long, which should provide plenty of time to wrap things up.

The burning questions, of course, are: who gets shot and who’s the shooter? But there are plenty of plot lines still left dangling. Here are the other questions we hope the show answers along the way.
1. Did Greg do it?
We know that Greg (Jon Gries) was involved in the events that led to the death of his ex-wife Tanya McQuoid (Jennifer Coolidge). But was his plan really to kill her? A popular theory suggests otherwise.
HBO
In his youth, Greg had been close friends with Quentin (Tom Hollander), palazzo owner and unofficial leader of the Mafia-affiliated Palermo gays, who talked Tanya into coming away with him and his friends to his baroque but crumbling home.
While there, they set her up for a cocaine- and pink chiffon dress-fueled romantic interlude with a local mafioso. One fan theory has it that Greg’s real plan was to get evidence of Tanya’s adultery to void her pre-nuptial agreement and let him sue for half her fortune in divorce. He’d then share his gains with Quentin and everyone’s a winner.
That could make sense.
However, Jack (Leo Woodall), Quentin’s “nephew”/indentured lover certainly seemed to think that Quentin and his friends were dangerous when he dumped Tanya’s assistant Portia (Haley Lu Richardson) off near the airport and warned her to disappear.
But it’s possible that Greg underestimated how far his friend would go to save his lovely Italian home, and that he’s now hiding out in Thailand not only from the FBI but from the Mafia too.
In any case, if Greg really did intend to bump off his wife, girlfriend Chloe could be in a lot more trouble than she thinks after her own yacht-based shenanigans with the Ratliff brothers.
2. Will Mook get a plotline?
Since episode 1, Mook (played by Blackpink’s Lisa) has been hovering around the edges of a storyline. She’s been weirdly underwritten for a White Lotus character.
Is there more going on? Some have speculated that she was involved in the hotel robbery or is part of a local crime network.

HBO
But there’s not much evidence of that. As of the end of episode 7, almost every appearance from Mook has gone the same way: she appears in the guard hut entrance in a cute outfit and gently chides Gaitok (Tayme Thapthimthong) for his lack of ambition. If her job is to flirt Gaitok from affable, mildly incompetent security guard into stone cold killer, we’d have to give her a 2/10. Gaitok is still a lot closer to Mr Bean than John McClane.
In fact, we think the only way she’s going to ignite his bloodlust is by getting in the way of a stray bullet herself. Hmmm.
3. Which Ratliff will end up in the monastery?
The Ratliff family have been circling that monastery like a pack of White Lotus guests around a fruit buffet.

Fabio Lovino/HBO
Piper’s (Sarah Catherine Hook) initial plan was to scope it out with a view to living there for a year – but it won’t be much of an escape if it winds up hosting a number of other members of the Ratliff family.
Let’s consider the evidence.
Timothy (Jason Isaacs) has had just about the worst holiday anyone could imagine. He kicked off the week a wealthy and successful man. Six days later, he’s a financially ruined social pariah with a penchant for benzos and a habit of daydreaming about murder-suicide.
And what about Saxon (Patrick Schwarzenegger)? All this gym bro wanted was an uncomplicated holiday fling. He’s been turned down by seemingly every woman in Thailand, only to have a one night stand with his own brother. And when he’s finally propositioned by Chloe, it’s apparently (do we believe this?) to fulfill Greg’s icky fantasy. Apart from his red pill lifestyle, the only thing Saxon has going for him is his career – and he’s about to find out that’s gone too.
As for Lochlan (Sam Nivola), he’s already trying out monastic life in a bid to avoid his brother and forget what happened between them.
We think it’s more than possible that there will be some empty seats next to Victoria (Parker Posey) on the plane home. Either that, or between the Lorazepam withdrawal and the social shame, she’s going to encourage her family to skip the final breakfast buffet in favor of a poisoned fruit smoothie.
4. Is Scott Glen Darth Vader?
Rick (Walton Goggins) and Chelsea (Aimee Lou Wood) came to Thailand so that Rick could find the man who, according to his mother, had killed his father – and get revenge for his own ruined life. (Not that the innocent Chelsea is aware of any of this.)

HBO
But was Rick’s mother telling the truth? There’s almost certainly more to the tale. One possibility is that Jim Hollinger (Scott Glen) is, in fact, Rick’s real father.
But there’s another possibility. Jim Hollinger is a red herring – a dead end Rick is pursuing instead of spending his time with his girlfriend, living his life.
And he didn’t even put much effort into his plan, deciding to let his unhinged accomplice Frank (Sam Rockwell) come up with his own directorial backstory on the spot. Still, this did lead to Frank’s inspired ad-lib: “The Enforcer, The Executor, The Notary… That was a trilogy.”
What’s worse is that Rick has left Chelsea alone at The White Lotus with a shooting about to occur. Chelsea believes she’s had two near-death experiences on her trip – and that bad things come in threes.
It would be a characteristic Mike
