The Sinking City Remastered announced

Frogwares has announced the upcoming release of The Sinking City Remastered, with a special offer for owners of the original version on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S who will receive a free upgrade. The remastered version will feature the original game ported to Unreal Engine 5, alongside The Sinking City 2. While there is currently no trailer or gameplay footage available, Frogwares has shared screenshots of The Sinking City Remastered.

In other news related to The Sinking City 2, Frogwares has invited submissions for voice recordings to be included in the game as part of a choir that worships the Eldritch god Yog-Sothoth. Those interested can participate by submitting a voice recording saying the word “Yes” in their preferred style. Submission forms can be completed and uploaded at this link. Frogwares will randomly select 100 submissions to be featured in the game, with one lucky participant receiving The Sinking City 2 Collector’s Edition.

In a review of The Sinking City, Steve expressed his thoughts, stating, “The Sinking City promises a nightmarish journey through a Lovecraftian townscape filled with monsters and threatening cults, but too often falls into a loop of forced combat and resource hunting. The investigative parts are excellent, and this is probably the best Lovecraft adaptation since Call of Cthulu: Dark Corners of the Earth, but it still never really lives up to its potential. Close, but no Shoggoth.”
