The most interesting startups showcased at Google Cloud Next

Google recently hosted its Google Cloud Next conference in Las Vegas, unveiling a host of new features such as the Ironwood AI processing chip and Gemini 2.5 Flash AI model.

The conference also highlighted several AI startups that have partnered with Google Cloud, including Safe Superintelligence (SSI) founded by Ilya Sutskever of OpenAI.

Some of the notable startups featured at the event include:

Anysphere, creator of the popular AI-powered code editor Cursor, valued at $10 billion and utilizing Google Cloud for its models.

Hebbia, known for its AI document search and question-answering capabilities, raised $130 million in Series B funding and is leveraging Google’s Gemini models.

Magic, focusing on automated coding and research, secured $320 million in funding and is utilizing Google Cloud’s GPUs.

Physical Intelligence, developing foundational software for robots with ties to Google DeepMind, raised $400 million and is backed by prominent investors.

Photoroom, a leading AI startup in Paris offering AI photo editing services using Google Cloud’s models.

Synthesia, specializing in realistic AI avatars and securing $180 million in funding, with GV among its investors.

Google Cloud is actively partnering with these startups to enhance its AI capabilities and compete with other cloud providers.

Additionally, Google announced the inclusion of Lightspeed as a VC partner, offering portfolio companies access to AI chips and models.

Other AI startups showcased at the conference include Augment Code, Autoscience, Big Sur AI, Captions, Eon.io, fal is, Spot AI, Story, Studyhall AI, Ubie, Udio, Ufonia, Wagestream, and Wondercraft, GenAI.
