The Legend of Zelda live-action movie now has a full release date, as Nintendo uses its swanky new app to reveal something directly
Nintendo has used the new Nintendo Today app to announce some news. It’s not Nintendo Switch 2 news, though, as that will start next week. The app revealed the full release date of the live-action Legend of Zelda movie, which is set to come out on March 26, 2027.
The Today app has delivered on its promise to provide big Nintendo news directly to users, just as Shigeru Miyamoto said it would. This efficiency from the Mario team is commendable, scoring a 10/10.
While the release date has been revealed, there is no additional information about the movie. If you’re looking for something to keep you entertained until the release, you might want to explore other Nintendo news, such as the new console being released this year.
This announcement is sure to attract many users to download the Today app in anticipation of more Nintendo news in the future.
The live-action Zelda movie was first revealed in 2023, with Sony Pictures Entertainment co-financing the film alongside Nintendo. The movie is set to release in 2027, as predicted by our contributor Oisin Kuhnke last year.
