The Hisense L9Q Laser TV will have a variable lens for up to a 150-inch screen size

Hisense has introduced a new model at CES 2025, the L9Q, as an update to its Laser TV ultra short throw projector lineup. The L9Q comes with a redesigned optical light engine that offers a variable focus range of 100 to 150 inches diagonal. Available in five packages with ALR screen sizes ranging from 100 to 150 inches, the L9Q provides more size options compared to its predecessor, the L9H.

The throw ratio of the L9Q has been improved from 0.25:1 to 0.18:1, allowing the projector to sit closer to the wall. This new model features a motorized focus motor, dedicated picture settings for different screen sizes, and auto screen alignment for optimal image quality. The TriChroma RGB laser light engine of the L9Q has also been enhanced, now offering a 33% increase in output to 4,000 lumens with a 3,000:1 native contrast ratio.

One of the standout features of the L9Q is its coverage of 110% of the BT.2020 color space, making it a future-proof option for upcoming content standards. The projector also includes a built-in Harman Kardon sound system and runs on the Google TV OS. The new design of the L9Q features a sleek and luxurious look with a rectangular shape and a semicircle indentation where the lens is located.
