Stardew Valley creator vows to never charge for DLC or updates

Despite the fact that Stardew Valley is nearing a decade old, developer Eric “ConcernedApe” Barone continues to provide post-launch content for the game without charging money for it.
Barone has committed to never charging for downloadable content or updates for as long as he lives, as he values his fans and their support for the game.
While working on the final updates for Stardew Valley, Barone put his next game, Haunted Chocolatier, on hold to focus on completing the former’s content.
Stardew Valley has been available on various platforms since 2016, including Windows PC, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Android, and iOS.
