Star Wars Outlaws update lets you blast your way out of stealth missions

Ubisoft has released Star Wars Outlaws Title Update 1.4.0, which brings a significant change to one of the most disliked aspects of the game. Stealth sections have been overhauled to eliminate instant fail conditions, allowing players to shoot their way out of tough situations instead of being sent back to a save point.

In addition to removing this condition, the enemy AI has been adjusted so that players will receive better signals if they are being detected, giving them the choice to either retreat and seek cover or engage in combat.

Other updates include the addition of enemy weak points for more tactical options, the return of Kay’s blaster and increased usage of two-handed weapons, and a new toggle for the cinematic lens to enhance visuals for players who dislike fake camera effects.

To attract more players, Ubisoft has also included Star Wars Outlaws in the Black Friday sales this week, offering a 25% discount on the digital version of the game. Physical copies may also be discounted in stores looking to clear excess stock.

Overall, our review of the game was positive, with Gamoc stating, “Star Wars Outlaws is an open-world scoundrel-’em-up that builds on Ubisoft’s familiar format. The reputation system is intriguing, as loyalty is constantly tested, but most importantly, the game immerses you in the Star Wars Universe. It may not be perfect, but the opportunity to steal, fight the Empire, explore alien landscapes, and more is a dream come true.”
