Sign up now for the Exoborne playtest and see what this extraction shooter is all about
Today has been quite an eventful day at TSA towers with the announcement of Switch 2 and all, but not everyone is interested in plumbers racing in go-karts or consoles with removable sides. If you prefer multiplayer extraction shooters, then the news of Exoborne, Sharkmob’s latest game and the team behind Bloodhunt, getting a playtest next month might excite you more.
Exoborne features players in mechanical Exo-Rigs, versatile tools designed for survival and combat that can be customized for different missions. The game was showcased at last year’s Gamescom, with storms playing a significant role in providing both visual impact and challenging gameplay scenarios.
The game showcases intense gunplay and action, drawing inspiration from previous Exosuit-equipped games like Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare and Bioware’s Anthem. Despite entering a competitive genre, the playtest aims to gather feedback from players and generate interest ahead of its launch later this year.
Brynley Gibson, Executive Producer, stated, “We’ve been conducting closed tests online and in our studio for some time, but this marks our first large-scale test, which is a significant milestone for us. By collaborating openly with the community, we aim to gather valuable insights and feedback to enhance the game further.”
The Exoborne playtest is scheduled from February 12th to February 17th, available only on PC despite launching on console alongside desktop versions. You can sign up for the playtest and watch the new trailer here.
