Shopify took down Kanye’s swastika T-shirt shop, but another antisemitic storefront still operates

Kanye West’s online store was taken down by Shopify after he began selling T-shirts featuring the swastika symbol.

Also known as Ye, West advertised his online store during a Super Bowl commercial, directing viewers to his website where the swastika T-shirt was the sole item for sale.

Despite Shopify removing a policy prohibiting sellers from hosting “hateful content” last year, they took down Ye’s store shortly after the Super Bowl ad aired. Shopify cited concerns about potential fraud rather than the sale of the Nazi T-shirt as the reason for the closure, according to an internal memo obtained by The Logic.

DailyTech reached out to Shopify for a statement, to which the company responded, “All merchants must adhere to our platform’s rules. This particular merchant engaged in practices that violated our terms, leading to their removal from Shopify.”

In recent days, Ye made several antisemitic posts on X, declaring his support for Nazism and expressing disdain for Jewish individuals. He even praised Adolf Hitler before his account was eventually deleted.

While Shopify removed Ye’s swastika merchandise, another shop on the platform continues to sell antisemitic products. DailyTech’s inquiry regarding this shop’s continued presence on Shopify went unanswered.
