Shark’s New PowerDetect Robot Vacuum Has a Monster Feature
SharkNinja has introduced its newest line of robot vacuums, featuring three PowerDetect models. The most budget-friendly model is currently available for purchase from Shark.
What sets this model apart is its affordability. While other robot vacuums on the market come with impressive features, they often come with a hefty price tag.
The PowerDetect Self-Empty Robot Vacuum RV2820VEUK by Shark offers many of the same features as its competitors, but at a price that is less than half of the leading models at £499.99. And you may even find it for a lower price on Amazon.
One feature this model lacks is the ability to mop floors. However, the two higher-end PowerDetect models offer mopping capabilities, with the top-tier model even able to wash and dry its mop pads automatically.
If mopping features are important to you, you may want to wait for the release of the more advanced models from Shark.
But if you’re in the market for an affordable robot vacuum with top-of-the-line features, here’s what the PowerDetect Self-Empty Robot Vacuum has to offer.
Monster climbing wheels
The ideal scenario with a robot vacuum is to schedule cleaning times and then forget about it. However, this can only work if the robot is equipped to handle obstacles on its own. The PowerDetect Self-Empty Robot Vacuum comes with an auto-empty dock, ensuring uninterrupted cleaning.
Additionally, it is equipped with NeverStuck Technology, featuring mini-monster truck wheels that allow the robot to navigate over obstacles like door thresholds and rugs with ease.
While it may not be able to climb stairs, this robot vacuum is designed to tackle rooms that were previously inaccessible to other models.
Dirt, edge, and flooring detection
Not all areas of your home require the same level of cleaning. The PowerDetect Self-Empty Robot Vacuum is equipped to detect dirtier spots and adjust its suction power accordingly, ensuring a thorough clean.
It can also differentiate between various floor types, providing a deeper clean for carpets by boosting suction when needed.
Furthermore, it features edge detection and uses blasts of air to move dust and hair towards its cleaning path when it reaches a wall.
60 days of hands-free cleaning
An auto-empty dock is essential for hassle-free cleaning. With Shark’s self-empty base, you only need to empty it every two months, and since it’s bagless, you won’t have to worry about purchasing replacement bags.
Pet-friendly features
The PowerDetect Self-Empty Robot Vacuum comes with features that make it ideal for homes with pets. Its self-cleaning brush roll with anti-hair wrap technology helps prevent clogs from pet hair, while the anti-allergen seal traps dust and allergens inside the machine.
Additionally, it includes a spot for Shark’s anti-odor cartridges, leaving a pleasant scent behind after cleaning.
Navigation and obstacle avoidance
This robot vacuum is equipped with a 3D sensor to avoid obstacles of all heights and 360-degree LiDAR mapping for precise navigation. You can create a map of your home in the app, set up no-go zones, and target specific areas for cleaning.
Once we have the opportunity to test it, we’ll provide more detailed information on these features.
