Scoot, the low-cost subsidiary of Singapore Airlines (SIA), announced the addition of its third and fourth Embraer E190-E2 aircraft to its fleet, set for delivery in September and October 2024. The new aircraft, named Jalan-Jalan and Travel Kaki, will enhance Scoot’s operational capacity and enable the launch of services to two new destinations in Southeast Asia: Kertajati (Greater Bandung) in Indonesia and Malacca in Malaysia.

Starting September 28, 2024, Scoot will commence twice-weekly flights to Kertajati, while five-times weekly flights to Malacca will begin on October 23, 2024.

These changes will include several inaugural flights and subsequent additions to their weekly schedules. This move aims to expand connectivity and offer more travel options for passengers in the respective regions.

Meanwhile, flights to Malacca kick off on October 23, 2024. Scoot’s TR408 will take off from Singapore at 2:00 PM and touch down in Malacca at 2:55 PM. TR409 will fly back to Singapore, leaving Malacca at 3:50 PM and arriving at 4:45 PM. Starting October 25, 2024, there will also be twice-weekly flights on Fridays and Sundays. TR402 will depart Singapore at 8:15 PM, landing in Malacca at 9:10 PM, with TR403 flying back from Malacca at 10:05 PM and reaching Singapore by 11:10 PM. Additional flights will be introduced on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Saturdays later in October and throughout November.Leslie Thng, Scoot’s Chief Executive Officer, expressed enthusiasm for the expansion, stating, “We are excited to announce the addition of Kertajati and Malacca to our growing network.
