'Arken Age' Release Date is "coming soon," Promising 10–15 Hour Campaign on PSVR 2 & PC VR

VitruviusVR, the studio known for creating Shadow Legend VR (2019), has officially announced the release date for their new single-player sci-fi shooter, Arken Age.

Scheduled to launch on January 16th, 2025, Arken Age will be available on SteamVR and PSVR 2. The game boasts a 10 to 15-hour story-driven campaign set in a beautifully crafted terraformed world.

According to VitruviusVR:

Travel to the Celestial Custodian’s Tower located on the Bio-Chasm shores, a realm designed for harvesting Arkenite Energy. The Grand Arborist, the divine creator, has mysteriously stopped tending to the planet, ignoring all attempts at communication. Unravel the mystery behind the Grand Arborist’s disappearance, form alliances with the Nara alien race, and stand against the corrupt usurper Hyperion and his army of corrupted soldiers.

In addition to the intriguing storyline, Arken Age allows players to freely navigate the world by jumping, climbing, and swimming. The game features physics-based combat with a variety of weapons that can be customized using 30 different mods.

Experience the gameplay firsthand in the latest trailer, showcasing the game’s weapons, modding system, and destructible enemies that can be dismembered in creative ways.

The trailer also offers a closer look at the first boss battle, highlighting the diverse tactics needed to defeat a formidable four-legged tree-beast.

Players can add Arken Age to their wishlist on both Steam and PSVR 2 in anticipation of its release on January 16th.
