Romancing SaGa 2: Revenge of the Seven shares first details on classes, combat, and more

Square Enix has released the first details and screenshots for their Romancing SaGa 2: Revenge of the Seven remake, showcasing character classes, combat systems, and more while also opening preorders on the Switch eShop.

Character classes:
The game features over 30 different character classes representing various races and professions. Each class comes with unique characteristics, including weapon and spell proficiencies. Here are some of the characters and their classes:

Nomad: Altan and Fatima
Altan, a nomad from the Steppe, excels in strength and dexterity and specializes in axe combat.
Fatima, also a nomad from the Steppe, possesses high dexterity, speed, and magical potential.

Crusader: Sophia and Georg
Sophia, a holy knight, is skilled in magic and wields a variety of powerful spells.
Georg, another holy knight, focuses on close-quarters combat and defensive spellcasting.

Martial Artist: Karl
Karl, a martial artist from the Dragon Lair, is known for his strength and combat skills.

Corsair: Henrique
Henrique, raised on the Longit Sea, is agile and excels in melee combat.

Saigo Clansman: Eirik
Eirik, a member of the Saigo Clan, is a powerful fighter with expertise in heavy weapons.

Salamander: Kelud

Launching a surprise attack on enemies can give you an advantage in battle, including damage to enemies and charge for the Overdrive gauge.

United Attack Chains:
Retinue members can perform United Attacks, with the number of members increasing as the game progresses. United Attacks can provide bonuses to the entire retinue.

Techniques and Spells:
Characters can use Battle Points to execute powerful techniques and spells. BP can be restored by various means, such as staying at inns or using consumables.

The Avalon Smithy:
Players can develop and reforge weapons and armor at the Smithy using materials and crowns.

Retinue Composition:
New character classes can be discovered and recruited by progressing through scenario episodes.

World Map:
Quick travel is possible by selecting locations on the world map.

Free-form Scenario System:
Player actions impact the story progression, with choices affecting relationships and outcomes.
