Rogue Incursion’s’ Last Minute “Part 1” Designation

Upon the release of Survios’ horror-shooter Alien: Rogue Incursion (2024) last week, players were surprised to see a ‘Part One’ label attached to the game. However, this labeling does not mean that players are only getting half of the game; instead, it signifies that more content is yet to come.

Despite initial confusion, a full review of the game revealed that Alien: Rogue Incursion offers an immersive eight-hour experience with pulse-raising encounters with Xenomorphs. While the game received praise for its environments and gameplay, some drawbacks were noted, such as enemy repetition and a punishing save system.

Survios has clarified that the ‘Part One’ label was not meant to mislead players but rather to indicate that the game is the first part of a two-part story. Part Two is already in development and is expected to introduce deadlier enemies and more difficult challenges.

Looking ahead, the Quest release of Alien: Rogue Incursion is set for February 13th, 2025, promising dynamically loading levels, detailed textures, and physics-based interactions. The delay in the Quest release was likely due to the game’s technical demands.

In a statement, Survios reassured fans that Part Two is actively in development and that more updates will be shared in the future. The team expressed their excitement for continuing the story of Zula, Davis, and other characters in the Alien universe.

We have recently received a lot of feedback about the inclusion of “Part One” in Alien: Rogue Incursion’s opening moments, within the achievement/trophy list, and store pages.

Never did we intend to mislead or cause confusion about what this game is, and we now understand how the addition of “Part One” could be interpreted.

Part One is a standalone adventure which ends with a cliffhanger, and we wanted fans to know that there would be more on the horizon, so we decided to confirm Part Two alongside the launch. The entire team at Survios are fans of the Alien universe, and cannot wait to tell more stories about Zula, Davis, and others.

While we have nothing to announce about Part Two, beyond that it is actively in development, we promise to share more exciting updates at a later date.
