Rime and Song Of Nunu developers Tequila cancel game and lay off staff

Unfortunately, Tequila Works, a Spanish game development company, has had to cancel an unannounced game and make a small number of layoffs due to financial difficulties.
In a statement on LinkedIn, Tequila Works expressed deep regret about the decision to cancel the game and mentioned restructuring the studio to focus on developing only one game, impacting a small number of roles.
The studio is well-known for games like Rime and The Sexy Brutale, as well as their recent project, Song Of Nunu, a League Of Legends spin-off. The team at Tequila Works is dedicated and talented, with a diverse portfolio of successful games.
Our thoughts are with those affected by the layoffs, and we hope for better days ahead for Tequila Works.
