Remedy Entertainment has announced an FBC: Firebreak Closed Technical Test for this upcoming weekend, inviting the public to stress test and play the Control co-op shooter spin-off.

Available on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC with cross-play enabled, the FBC: Firebreak Closed Technical Test will take place from May 15th, 6 AM PDT/9 AM EDT/2 PM BST/4 PM EEST, until May 19th, 1:59 PM PDT/4:59 PM EDT/9:59 PM BST/11:59 PM EEST.

You can register to participate here.

It is important to note that this is a closed test, and Remedy prohibits public sharing of impressions, screenshots, videos, or live streaming. Discussions will be limited to a designated area on the official Discord server.

The technical test will assist Remedy in refining matchmaking and balancing for the game’s full release next month. With the goal of including as many invited participants as possible, the tech test will feature two of the Jobs in the game, Paper Chase and Ground Control, as well as access to three kits with all equipment unlocked – Garden Gnome, Teapot, and Piggybank – and three guns.

For PC players, the current system requirements recommended by Remedy are:

  • OS: Windows 10 64-bit
  • Processor: Ryzen 7 3700X or equivalent
  • Memory: 16GB RAM
  • Graphics: GeForce RTX 2080 Ti

For more information, Remedy has provided a closed technical test FAQ.

FBC: Firebreak is set to launch on June 17th, arriving on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam and Epic at that time. It will also be available on day one through PC Game Pass, Game Pass Ultimate, and the PlayStation Plus Game Catalog (Extra and Premium).
