Relic Entertainment announces turn-based strategy game Earth vs Mars

Relic Entertainment has recently unveiled Earth vs Mars, an exciting new turn-based strategy game currently in the works.

Earth vs Mars is being developed for Windows PC and is scheduled for release sometime during the upcoming summer season.

The game marks Relic Entertainment’s inaugural launch under their innovative indie-style division, Relic Labs. This new team aims to produce a diverse range of games beyond their traditional real-time strategy (RTS) titles, which they will continue to develop and maintain. Relic Labs will delve into new sub-genres, experiment with different concepts, and strive to release games more frequently to stimulate their creative endeavors.

For decades, Martians have been making visits to Earth, kidnapping animals and humans to extract their atomic essence and create peculiar Martian-creature hybrids. This time, their mission is to conquer our planet.

In this turn-based strategy game, a group of unlikely commanders will lead Earth’s military forces against a formidable Martian invasion. Engage in battles against high-tech saucers, grav-tanks, and elite alien warriors in a fight for Earth’s survival.

Your ace in the hole is the “Splice-O-Tron,” a device that allows you to merge human “volunteers” with Earth creatures to produce potent hybrid supersoldiers to bolster Earth’s conventional military strength.

Unleash acid rain from the skies with the swift cheetah-fly, charge through enemy lines with powerful human-rhino hybrids, or launch attacks from the forests using deadly squirrel-cow infantry units.

As you progress through the campaign, you’ll unlock new creature types, upgrade units, and gain access to game-changing commander abilities. However, as your army evolves, so will your adversaries, presenting challenges ranging from the enigmatic organic weapon known as “The Creep” to the Martian’s mutated creations.
