Racing platformer game Pocket Wheels launches in 2026

Deck13 Spotlight has taken on the publishing duties for Pocket Wheels, an upcoming racing and platforming game created by indie developer Florian Wolf.

Pocket Wheels is currently being developed for various platforms including Windows PC (via Steam and GOG), Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Switch, PS4, and PS5 with a planned release in 2026. Interested players can try out a demo of the game on its Steam page.

Pocket Wheels revolves around the childhood fantasy of embarking on adventures with your toys around the house. It blends elements of 3D platforming with racing, drawing inspiration from collectathon games of the 90s. Players control a toy car with unique abilities such as jumping, gliding, and even a grappling hook. Different vehicles can be purchased using coins found in the toy garage. Coins are scattered throughout the various rooms in the fully explorable house, each room featuring a distinct theme with different race tracks, objectives, and collectibles.

Special Abilities

Utilize your jumping skills to complete objectives or extend your wings for off-road exploration into the different rooms. The addition of a grappling hook adds a stylish flair to your movement!

Exploration

Even for a small toy car, everyday objects pose exciting challenges. Augmented reality glasses provide a fresh perspective on rooms, unveiling new obstacles and objectives. And keep an eye out for the roomba…
