Prince Of Persia: The Lost Crown is coming to Steam in August
Prince Of Persia: The Lost Crown’s first story DLC received a brief two-second trailer during Ubisoft Forward on Monday, announcing its name and its upcoming release in September. For those interested, the base game, The Lost Crown, will be available on Steam starting from August 8th.
The Lost Crown has been exclusively offered through the Epic Games Store and Ubisoft’s launcher since its debut in January. Its impending launch on Steam seems to be happening sooner than expected, possibly due to the game’s critical acclaim despite lower sales figures.
In the past, I was open to playing games on any platform, but with the introduction of the Steam Deck, my preferences have shifted. Now, I eagerly await all games to be available on Steam promptly. The Lost Crown appears to be a perfect fit for the handheld device, making me slightly regret not waiting to experience it on the Steam Deck earlier this year.
Although there’s a hint of regret, The Lost Crown truly deserves its critical acclaim. It offers a platforming-heavy metroidvania experience with a vast world to explore, engaging puzzle arenas, and challenging boss fights that are conquerable. As mentioned in Katharine’s review of Prince Of Persia: The Lost Crown, the game is deep, challenging, and warmly inviting. You can find more information on its Steam page.
