PrimeStation Pulsar fanless workstation PC unveiled

Prime Computer of Switzerland has recently introduced the PrimeStation Pulsar PC. This mini-PC is unique in that it is one of the most powerful fanless options available and is said to be 100% climate-neutral. The machine, designed as a ‘workstation,’ utilizes its aluminium case as a heatsink and houses an AMD Ryzen 7 Pro 5750G (65W) processor.

The key features of the PrimeStation Pulsar include:

  • Versatile with excellent connectivity options
  • Compact and full-featured PC with workstation performance and fanless design
  • Powered by the latest 8-core, 16-thread Pro APU processor from AMD
  • 100% climate-neutral due to CO2e savings and compensation
  • Reliable and fail-safe with a fanless and mechanics-free design
  • Sustainable cost reduction with longer product life and lower maintenance and electricity costs
  • 5-year warranty for better cost planning

For detailed specifications of the AMD Ryzen 7 Pro 5750G processor, refer to the official AMD pages. The processor features 8 cores, 16 threads, a base/boost clock of 3.8/4.6GHz, and 16MB of L3 cache. Manufactured by TSMC on 7nm FinFET, this 65W APU also includes eight Radeon Vega GPU cores running at speeds up to 2.0GHz.

Additional specifications of the system include options for 8, 16, 32, or 64GB of DDR4 3200 memory, 1 x NVMe and 1 x 2.5-inch SATA III ports, Intel Wireless AX200 + BT 5.2, 2.5Gbps Ethernet, HDMI 2.1 and DP 1.4 ports, as well as various USB and audio ports.

In terms of design, the PrimeStation Pulsar fanless workstation boasts a sleek black finish and measures W: 9.1cm, H: 22.5cm, L: 20.3cm. The system weighs approximately 4.3kg when fully assembled.

The PrimeStation Pulsar mini-PC workstation is available for $2,179, as reported by Fanless Tech. While the price may seem high for a system powered by a small APU with limited upgradability, it may cater to specific needs. Enthusiasts and DIYers might prefer the bulkier fanless solution offered by The Beast from MonsterLabo.
