Pokemon Trading Card Game Pocket

The Pokemon Company has announced Pokemon Trading Card Game Pocket is adding a new “Shining Revelry” expansion this month.

The new “Shining Revelry” expansion is launching for the digital trading card and battling game next week, on March 27th.

Here’s a rundown on the new expansion, plus a trailer:

New Shining Revelry Themed Booster Pack

The new Shining Revelry themed booster pack allows players to discover a variety of Shiny Pokémon cards—featuring fan-favourites such as Charizard ex, Lucario ex, and Pachirisu—by opening digital booster packs and using the wonder pick feature. Shiny Pokémon cards in Pokémon TCG Pocket sparkle beautifully when tilted, offering an exciting new way to view the cards in a digital format. In addition, from April 1, players will also be able to obtain a stunning Shiny Charizard–themed display board and binder to show off their favourite cards.
Beyond Shiny Pokémon, Shining Revelry will also introduce Pokémon and Trainers from the Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Violet video games, including charming illustrations for Tatsugiri, Sprigatito, and Iono.

To celebrate the launch of Shining Revelry, players can participate in new ex Starter Deck missions from Friday, March 28, 2025, at 06:00 a.m. UTC to Sunday, April 27, 2025, at 05:59 a.m. UTC. Players can complete in-game missions to receive a deck ticket that can be exchanged for one of nine starter decks. Once a starter deck is chosen, the 20 cards included in it will be added to the player’s card collection.

Ranked Matches

Ranked matches will soon be launching in Pokémon TCG Pocket. The first season will feature Shining Revelry and be available from March 28, 2025, at 06:00 a.m. UTC to April 27, 2025, at 05:59 a.m. UTC. In ranked matches, Trainers can battle against players of similar skill levels from around the world—and receive an emblem based on their end-of-season rank for display on their player profile.
