Pokemon Legends Z-A pops up at Nintendo direct with a look at its intense nighttime Z-A Royale tournament, and it’s still coming in late 2025

Pokemon Legends Z-A was showcased during today’s Nintendo Direct, revealing more gameplay in Lumiose City and confirming its late 2025 release window.
The gameplay footage showed wild Pokemon appearing in unexpected places, like on top of buildings, showcasing their fearlessness and perhaps a nod to the Pokemon Go craze where players would go to great lengths to catch Pokemon.

The highlight of the presentation was the introduction of the Z-A Royale tournament that takes place in the city after dark. Trainers compete in this tournament, aiming to climb the ranks from Z to A.
The nighttime battles are described as more intense than the daytime ones, with the element of surprise playing a key role in initiating battles and opponents being more eager to engage in combat.
