Pokemon fans are facing a serious dilemma following the end of Nintendo 3DS online features

Pokemon fans are currently facing a dilemma as Nintendo 3DS online features come to an end and players are urged to transfer their catches to Pokemon Home. This transition poses a challenge for a specific type of pokemon known as totem variants, which are set to lose their unique qualities when transferred.

Totem pokemon, exclusive to Sun and Moon, are larger than usual and have enhanced stats, making them stand out in the game. However, when transferred from the 3DS via Pokemon Bank to Pokemon Home, these totem pokemon lose their special features and become regular versions.

Players are now left with a decision to either transfer their collection and lose the totem pokemon or leave them behind in their Sun and Moon saves. This situation raises questions about the future of these unique pokemon and whether they should be preserved for players who have invested time in obtaining them.

Should The Pokemon Company take steps to preserve the special qualities of totem pokemon for future generations of players? Or is it acceptable for these pokemon to be phased out and replaced by regular alternatives? Share your thoughts on this matter.
