Pistons' Jaden Ivey stretchered off after brutal leg injury

Jaden Ivey was injured during the Pistons’ 105-96 win over the Magic on Wednesday, leading to a scary moment as he had to be taken off the floor on a stretcher. The severity of the injury is still unknown, but Ivey’s reaction suggested it could be serious.

The injury occurred in the fourth quarter when the Magic’s Cole Anthony collided with Ivey while going for a loose ball.

Anthony’s contact with Ivey’s leg caused him to fall hard to the floor, with audible screams of pain heard on TV and in the arena.

The 22-year-old guard was placed on a stretcher and carried off the court as fans chanted his name.

Pistons coach J.B. Bickerstaff commented on the emotional impact of the injury, emphasizing Ivey’s importance to the team.

Ivey has been a key player for the Pistons this season, contributing to their improved performance compared to the previous year.

The fifth overall pick in the 2022 draft has been averaging 17.4 points, 4.2 rebounds, and 4.0 assists per game while shooting 39.2 percent from 3-point range.
