Peru Scraps All Covid- Entry Restrictions After 2.5 Years

Peru Lifts COVID- Restrictions, Resumes Normal Tourism
Peru has officially lifted all COVID-related restrictions, allowing for the resumption of normal tourism after two and a half years of some of the strictest rules in the world.
Travel to this South American country will once again be unrestricted, as the state of emergency imposed since March 2020 has officially expired as of November 1, 2022.
All extensions of the state of emergency proclamation, including travel bans and domestic COVID restrictions, have also been lifted.
Travelers can now enter Peru without any restrictions following the end of the state of emergency.
Previously, visitors had to provide proof of vaccination or negative COVID test results within 48 hours of arrival in the country.
Peru’s regulations were among the strictest globally, with enforced curfews, lockdowns, vaccination requirements, and mask mandates including the use of KN-95 masks or double masking in some cases.
With the lifting of the state of emergency, all COVID-related regulations such as vaccination and mask mandates will be lifted, allowing for regular tourism to resume from November 1, 2022.
Travelers will no longer need to pre-register with Peru’s immigration app, submit an affidavit, or show proof of vaccination or negative COVID test results to enter the country.
