Pathologic 3 revealed for PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S

Ice-Pick Lodge and HypeTrain Digital have unveiled Pathologic 3, the sequel to Pathologic 2 released in 2019. Pathologic 2 was a reimagining of the original Pathologic from 2005, featuring characters like the Changeling, the Haruspex, and the Bachelor. While Pathologic 2 focused on the Haruspex, Pathologic 3 will center around the Bachelor.

In Pathologic 3, players will embody the Bachelor, a doctor who arrives in a small town on a mission to locate an immortal man and conquer death. With only 12 days to accomplish this daunting task, the Bachelor possesses a unique advantage – a time travel mechanic. As players strive to defy death, they will also impact the town’s events and aid its residents during an epidemic.

Nikolay Dybowski, founder of Ice Pick Lodge, stated, “We are developing a game that explores how an individual evolves their cognition to engage with previously unnoticed or unknown elements. Our aim is to grasp the implications for the player. Currently, my primary concern is reevaluating our conventional comprehension of cognitive processes – how to navigate them without complications or losing ourselves. Hence, we aim to incorporate gameplay that delves into this concept. The Bachelor views himself as a man of intellect. We can define the mechanic as surrealistic time management. Our objective is to provide players with a perception of time that transcends our typical linear understanding. We seek to demonstrate the potential of existing in a world that operates in a manner vastly different from our accustomed expectations.”

Pathologic 3 is scheduled for a 2025 release on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S.
