Palworld’s Terraria collab is coming this summer, though I have some questions about it
Crossovers! Collabs! Whether you love them or hate them, in a time where major companies seem to only offer the same thing repeatedly, we’re bound to encounter them. This time, it’s a unique one as Palworld is receiving a Terraria-themed update sometime this summer. Why Terraria? I honestly don’t know, perhaps they share a similar audience, but besides that, it’s a mystery.
Named “Tides of Terraria” (is it inspired by the ocean? Why? Terraria isn’t primarily ocean-focused), the update will allow you to “catch, train, fight, and work with monsters from Terraria just like Pals…?” I would also question that statement, as it sounds a bit absurd, but it’s definitely more interesting than just a Terraria-themed gun. Apart from being labeled as “large”, there are no further details about the Terraria component of the update.
Pocketpair has mentioned that there will be new Pals to capture and islands to explore in the multiplayer game’s Terraria update, but no additional information has been provided. They stated in a Steam post that “The contents of the update will be revealed on official Palworld social media channels in the upcoming weeks, so stay tuned!”
Not long ago, Palworld received its last patch, which wasn’t major. The notable change was technically the removal of a feature, specifically gliding with a Pal, now replaced with a regular glider due to Nintendo’s lawsuit. So, you can attribute this change to Mario.
