Developer Pocket Pair is hinting at a possible PlayStation release for their popular monster collecting game Palworld.

The speculation arises from a tweet by Bucky, head community manager at developer Pocket Pair, on his personal Twitter account:

While this could be mere speculation, some believe that the use of a blue heart in the tweet could hint at a PlayStation release, given that the other hearts correspond to Windows PC, Xbox, and Mac colors.

Whether Palworld will indeed make its way to PlayStation consoles remains to be seen, especially considering the game’s success on PC and Xbox platforms, where it has garnered millions of players. Notably, Pocket Pair’s previous game, Craftopia, is currently only available on PC and Xbox.

Despite its current availability limited to Windows and Xbox, Palworld is set to release its first major update, “Sakurajima,” on June 27th for both PC and Xbox. The update will introduce a higher level cap, new Pals, a new PVP mode, a new raid, a new faction and boss, and a brand-new island. Additionally, dedicated servers for Xbox consoles will be implemented with this update, fulfilling a long-standing fan request since the game’s launch.

Future updates for Palworld are expected to include features such as crossplay between the Steam and Xbox versions, enhancements to the building system, improvements for Xbox features, and the ability for server transfers/migrations.

Palworld was initially released in January 2024 for Windows PC (via Steam and the Microsoft Store), Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S. The game has also been available on Xbox Game Pass since its launch.
