Pocketpair, the developer of Palworld has decided to give their employees an extra holiday that just so happens to coincide with the release of Monster Hunter Wilds.
The Japanese developer had received multiple notices from employees that they “may be feeling unwell” tomorrow, so the company made the decision to just give everyone the day off.
The Palworld developer has had a busy few months recently, between launching their indie publishing initiative and dealing with drama from a giant corporation.
This isn’t the first time that Pocketpair has given their team time off for a big game launch. In 2022 they announced a special work holiday for the release of Elden Ring.
Palworld has been available for Windows PC (via Steam and the Microsoft Store), Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S, and PlayStation 5. The game has also been on Xbox Game Pass since day one.
Monster Hunter Wilds is set for a release on February 28th, 2025 across for PC (via Steam), Xbox Series X|S, and PS5.
