Developer Pocketpair has released a roadmap for Palworld’s future updates through 2025, marking the first anniversary of the game’s early access release. Exciting new features on the horizon include co-op crossplay, world transfers for Pals, and a World Tree ending scenario.

While the roadmap lacks a timeline, it outlines key features and content that Pocketpair plans to implement. The inclusion of co-op crossplay and other significant updates shows the team’s commitment to enhancing the game.

The Palworld roadmap for the future includes:

  • Co-op Crossplay
  • World Transfers for Pals
  • World Tree / Ending Scenario
  • Further ways to strengthen and improve Pals
  • Various new content such as new Pals and technologies
  • Game Collaborations (Including Terraria)
  • Improvements to world object placement
  • Improvements to base Pals
  • Improvements to optimization
  • Improvements to UX

To celebrate the first anniversary, Pocketpair has also released the game’s soundtrack on YouTube, featuring 28 tracks.

Palworld is available on PC, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PlayStation 5, and PlayStation 4. A recent update in December introduced a new island region for players to explore.

Despite its success, Palworld has faced scrutiny, including a lawsuit from Nintendo and The Pokémon Company in September. Pocketpair has vowed to fight the lawsuit, which revolves around alleged patent infringement related to monster capturing and summoning. The outcome of the legal battle remains uncertain.
